The No. 172 nozzle is a large fine-cut open star tip for one-squeeze drop flowers, shells and rosettes with many ridges.

How to use: Fit the nozzle into a piping bag, fill no more than two-thirds with stiff buttercream and pipe with steady pressure. Hold the bag straight for stars and rosettes, and at an angle for shells.
